Is being a good person enough to go to heaven?
What does the Bible say?
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
The Bible makes it pretty clear that there isn’t a checklist of things you need to do to earn a spot in heaven. In fact, in order to receive salvation, all you have to do is believe that we’ve all sinned (disobeyed God) and that God sent His Son to stand in for our punishment. All we must do is believe, not follow a list of dos and don’ts to receive His gift of salvation.
You can’t earn your salvation; it’s a free gift from God. Woodrow Kroll looks at what salvation is and what it’s not.
Salvation is one of the most important aspects of Christianity. But what are we being saved from? Why are we being saved? Bible Teacher Ron Moore begins a study on several of the core doctrines of Christianity by showing why we need salvation and how Jesus provides it.
Things happen in life that we just don’t understand. But as Christians, we have the assurance of knowing that whatever we face, there’s a day coming that’s beyond compare. In Ron Moore’s booklet on heaven, you’ll find answers in God’s Word to the common questions many have about what heaven is really like–all while receiving encouragement and strength for the greatest storms in your life.
